9M      - 9M6US and 9M6MU will be the  operators of 9M4SHQ, the official  IARU
          HQ station  for Malaysia   in the  IARU  HF World  Championship.  The
          station will be located at the   Hillview Gardens ARC in Sabah,  East

A3      - Alex, HB9FBO will operate as A35BO from Tonga   from 24 October to  1
          December. He will  be active   on 10-80  metres  (and  maybe 160m  as
          well) SSB, CW and possibily PSK31, with verticals  for 10-40  metres
          and a vertical monobander for   80 metres.  QSL  direct only to  home

CT3     - Special event station CS9SRA will be  active on 15-17 July from  the
          50th Cattle  Exibition at   Porto Moniz,  Madeira (AF-014).  QSL  via

CU      - Special scout  station  CU3N  will be   active  on  14-20  July  from
          Terceira (EU-175), Azores   during the XI  Azorean Jamboree. QSL  via

FW      - Guy, FR5ZL reports he will be active, possibly again as FW5ZL,  from
          Wallis from 16 July to 15 August. He plans to operate on 20, 15  and
          30 metres CW and SSB, probably with some PSK and RTTY as well,  with

JA      - Cho, 7N4JZK will operate from 8J2AI, the special station at the 2005
          World Exposition in Aichi, from 9 to 10  UTC on 16 July. He will  be
          looking for DX stations on +/-   14250 and 21250  kHz. A special  QSL

J7      - Pierre, HB9CUA will operate on 6-40  metres as J79PAK from  Dominica
          (NA-101) from 11  July to 3   August. QSL  via home  call, direct  or

LA      - Giovanni, IZ2DPX reports that he plans  to operate from the  Lofoten
          Islands (EU-076) during his forthcoming trip to Norway [425DXN 737].
LA      - QLF DX Team operators Bjorn/LA5UKA, Andy/LA8AJA and Tony/LA9VDA will
          be active on 18-80 metres CW, SSB and some RTTY as LA6Q from  Utsira
          Island (EU-055) and   lighthouse (ARLHS NOR-262)  on 20-24 July.  QSL

PA      - JanJaap, PG7V and Jack,  PD2JVE will operate   as PC6IOTA from  Texel
          Island (EU-038) from 27 July to 3 August. Before and after the  IOTA
          Contest they will  operate on all  HF bands CW,  SSB, RTTY and  PSK,

SM      - Mike, SM2OAN/p will be active from Seskaro Island (EU-139) until  30

          on 17-22 July. He will operate CW   and SSB on 10-80 metres, QSL  via

SP      - Special event station SN0GG will be active until 31 July for the 6th
          Amateur Radio Meeting to be held at Gliczarow Gorny, near  Zakopane.

UA      - Special event station R3K will be active on 15-21 July to  celebrate
          the 30th  anniversary of   the Apollo-Soyuz  space program.  QSL  via

UR      - The club station of the Ukrainian State Centre of Radio   Frequencies
          will operate as EM0ITU on 12-15 July during the ITU workshop on  the
          Automation of the Spectrum Management. QSL via UT3UZ (Alex  Arbuzov,

VE      - A small group of the Club de Radioamateur de Beauce (VE2CRB) will be
          active from Pozer  Island (not IOTA,  CISA QC-100) on  9 July.  They
          will be using a low power   transceiver with portable antenna on  SSB
          (7260, 14260 kHz) QSL via bureau or direct to VE2GHI or VE2EZD. [TNX

W       - Phil, WA2ART reports he will be spending most of his weekend through
          September on  Johnson   Island, The  Thimbles  (NA-136).  There's  no
          electricity on the island, and Phil   will be operating QRP with  the
          antenna just feet from the salt water.
W       - Ross, K3HR is  active as K3HR/2  until 6 September  from Long  Beach
          Island (NA-111). He plans  to participate in  the IOTA Contest.  QSL

W       - Rebekah/WG4Y, Angela/WN4C, Truman/NN4C, Allan/KV4T and Bridget/KS4YT
          will operate on 80-10 metres CW and SSB from Dauphin Island (NA-213)

YO      - YR0HQ will be  the Federatia Romana  de Radioamatorism's HQ  station
          for the IARU HF World Championship.   A free of charge award will  be

425 DX NEWS MAGAZINE  ---> The latest issue (June 2005)  is now available   in

DX SPOTS  ---> Rod Elliott,  VE3UW has collected the  DX spots from the OH2AQ
Web Cluster since January 1997. The collection - from January 1997 up to June
2005  - is available at http://www.425dxn.org/dxspots/ , as well the software
(DXINFO v2.0) which will enable  you to  handle the iles (instructions at the
URL above).

NOT EU-083 ---> Vanni/IK4RUX, Sergio/IK4JPR and  Franco/IK4GLV were not  able
to land on Tinetto Island on 2-3 July  owing to the rough sea. They  operated
from Palmaria  Island  (IIA  SP-003),  which does  not   count  for  the  IOTA
programme. All of the QSOs  will be confirmed  automatically via the   bureau.

QSL XF2ZEX ---> Alfio, IT9EJW reports that all of the direct requests for the
recent XF2ZEX operation from Sacrificios Island (NA-224) have been  processed
and mailed.

QSL VIA  VK3DYL --->  Gwen, VK3DYL  reports that  the A35YL   and YJ0YL  cards
should be  posted out  in approximately  one month's  time. The   IOTA  groups
covered during the trip were OC-035  (YJ0YL, 2-19 May), OC-049 (A35YL,  23-29
May) and OC-064 (A35YL, 30 May-7 June). The Australian postage stamp covering
return at "Card Only"  rate will be  a special issue  stamp picturing the  YL
operators, VE7YL and VK3DYL, on it. Note: this stamp cannot be used with  two
cards in the same envelope.

DX SUMMIT & OH#W:      The  Elisa  Radio  Club   of  Finland  is  managing  the
                       original world-renowned  DX Summit,  and you  may  have
                       noticed that their heading includes the callsign of the
                       group who operates the DX Cluster, OH9W.
                       This coming  weekend  marks another  interesting  event
                       when the DX  Cluster will  be employed  to support  the
                       WRTC-2006   (World  Radiosport  Team  Championship)   OH
                       qualifying run  for 24  hours  during the  CW/SSB  IARU
                       Radiosport Contest.
                       OH9W along with six other callsigns (OH2W, OH4W,  OH5W,
                       OH6W,   OH7W  and  OH8W)  will  compete  with  low-power
                       stations to capture the honors for Finnish team captain
                       of   the  2006   WRTC  event   (the  competing    captain
                       candidates will be OH0XX, OH1JT, OH1NOA, OH2UA,  OH4JFN
                       and OH6RX).
