Franco informs that in the evening (UTC time) will be active on 160m. Who is interested to work 5V on the top band can take the advantage of this occasion. See you on air!
Here is a message of Franco from Togo where he tells us some tips and latest news.
First of all he says that he’s in 5V land not specifically for a DXpedition but for different reasons. Becouse of this, DX activities are in the background so log numbers will not be enormous as for normal DXpeditions.
Damages to the equipments have been partially repaired. The amplifier now works good but the RTX not (it has just 12 W output) so that the amount of power (RTX+Amplifier) is about 250-300 W.
At the moment log counts about 1,000 QSOs on 80m. On the easy bands – as he says – such as 20, 18, 12, 15 and 10m he didn’t mount antennas. Due to the poor solar conditions he also didn’t install the antenna on the magic band (6m).
However, in the evening 5V7V will be active on the top band (160m) so… stay tuned!
