Phil, G3SWH and Jim, G3RTE will be active from Honiara, Guadalcanal in the Solomon Islands from the February 18-28, 2013.
The Solomon Islands are located in CQ zone 28, ITU zone 51.
Guadalcanal counts as OC-047 for IOTA purposes. The “most wanted” data provided by Clublog currently shows the Solomon Islands at #81 in Europe and #77 in North America. Their activity will be on CW only on all bands 80-10 meters. There will be no 160, 60, 6 metres or EME activity.
Propagation permitting, they plan to have two stations on air for as many hours every day as is possible. Main objective is to work as many European, North American and RoTW stations on as many different bands as possible and plan to make at least 15,000 QSOs.
